Welcome to my blog . I am from Romania , not England, and the salaries are so different . In Romania an average work place gives you ~ 400$ / month . Medium ~600-700$ , and a very good place ~1000$ .Beside that, you usually work long hours without extra money , poor working conditions , you pay health care but when you have a problem you have to bribe the doctor too . So with an average of ~500$ / month , and sometimes no future promotions, you`ll have this salary for a lifetime , i think poker it`s a better alternative if you are dedicated enough, you can make ~1000$ or more / month , in the same 6-8 hours spent on a workplace .

3 years ago i worked in England for 1.5 years, i earned ~1800 E/ month, but rent was 300E , plus expenses, food, transit , cigarettes , you spend ~1200E/month , so only 600E economy .
